Kavya R - Over the past two years, Kathith has offered me a wonderful platform to learn traditional and folk art forms from exceptional teachers. The opportunity to study an art form in its authentic, original form, along with the encouragement to create our own compositions, has been invaluable. I also appreciate how the workshops and courses inspire me to research and explore a variety of subjects, including history and mathematics. Most importantly, my children, who were born and are growing up in the U.S., are developing an appreciation for the richness of Indian culture, especially when it is presented to them in a visual format.

Sudha B - Art is a place for my brain to relax and becoming a student in Kathith classes has been a joy. Deepti and Supraja take extreme care in finding teachers who are not only great artists, but also great teachers. Each of the teachers take extra effort in making the learning of the new art form an engaging experience for students without feeling overwhelmed. In the past 2 years of Kathith's existence , learning different traditional art forms from India has been a tremendously positive experience with Kathith. Very thankful to Supraja and Deepti and the Kathith Community.

Shobha G - Kathith has been an integral part of my life for the last 6-months now.. The art forms and artists that Kathith showcase for the workshops and curriculum are so accomplished and experts in their form of art and yet manage to be excellent teachers. Hats off to Deepti and Supraja for dedicating their time and energy towards traditional art forms and bringing it to the fore. This is the USP of Kathith according to me. Kathith allows you to Learn traditional art form(sometimes forgotten by main stream art) in the comfort of your own home from the experts in the field. Kathith has allowed me to expand my traditional art expressions in way I didn’t think possible or feasible with my limited knowledge of these arts. Having lived outside India for the last 29yrs now hasn’t helped. I feel proud to be a part of kathith family as I know I am in the best place possible to enrich myself through arts.

Keerthi - Kathith: A Life-Changing Platform for Artists "I am forever grateful to have stumbled upon Kathith, a great platform that has not only refined my artistic skills but also transformed my life. Kathith has been the gateway to understanding India's rich and diverse art culture, and I'm thankful that I could learn about numerous forms of art from across the nation. Kavita R - “Kathith is slowly proving itself to be that kind of art school I had always wanted to be part of, where I can learn different art forms, under one virtual roof. By offering 2-3 forms of course types, learning has become just a matter of convenience, coupled with our own interest of course. With the few workshops that I have participated in here, I got mesmerized and drawn into learning a couple of art forms in depth and while I may be just a year into them now, the continuous practice demanded of me and the detailed feedback on each and every assignment submitted, tell me that I am headed in the right direction. And that gives me an immense sense of achievement and satisfaction. The painstaking efforts Kathith makes, to bring us extremely talented artists who are not just proficient in their art, but who also make learning for us students a joy and a matter of pride, is truly admirable. And for that, I am forever grateful. ”

Vishali -Being an art enthusiast, I wondered where and how to learn India traditional art forms and started searching the internet. My journey with Kathith started by enrolling into the sacred Andal workshop. Kathith has provided many workshops on different art forms which I didn't know even existed. I am slowly able to know and learn the concepts and science behind each of them. It improved my drawings into many different perspectives. Thank you Kathith and Team for all the efforts put into bringing the master artists and their beautiful art creations to us.
Chitrakathi - A rare artform
Vibha - I came across Kathith almost 2 years ago through Instagram, frankly I feel it’s been so longer, and they satiated my love for art. Being outside India finding Kathith was a surprise and a blessing for me. My first session with Kathith was Nayakar art and I can see myself come so far from then. The art forms that Kathith brings forward are so unique and some I never heard. Every art form Kathith brings to us are so different and artists very knowledgeable. It never felt business either from Kathith or the artists that are introduced. Both founders of Kathith are the best women I have come across; their urge to connect with different artists really shows their love for art and in many cases trying to restore the artforms. This group has brought in a reform in me in terms of how I approach art and it’s been the biggest stressbuster to me as an accountant by profession. Looking forward to more exposure to artform
Rachana - A kathith art workshop is not just that, it’s a creative, cultural and carefully curated experience that not only enables artistic learning but also nurtures your creative imagination to create unique masterpieces based on the foundations of the amazing Indian folk art forms. My learning journey with Kathith over a year has not only enriched me as a creative but also brought in so many positive changes to me as a person- the constant support and encouragement of the Kathith team and the traditional art teacher/guru inspires me to better myself as an artist and student of the art forms. Gratitude to Kathith always!

Virtee - I have taken three classes with Kathith, and they have been an incredible experience for me. Deepti and Supraja are wonderful teachers who have designed each class with great thought and passion. Not only am I learning a beautiful art form, but the classes are also engaging, and I’ve gained a lot of historical knowledge about the art as well. The teacher-artists simplify complex designs using a straightforward, easy-to-follow technique. This experience has truly been a stress reliever for me, along with helping me learn more about India’s beautiful ancient art forms.

Deepti T - My journey with Kathith started in 2024 as someone curious about art, desire to learn something but zero experience, unless you count 10 standard science diagrams. Through the past year I attended multiple workshops and curriculum classes. And my journey has been nothing but miraculous and a blessing. The dedication of the founders towards art, promoting varied unique Indian art forms, identifying dedicated masters with decade’s experience is inspiring. The motto to teach from sketching from scratch, forms, motive, compositions ignites a different kind of fuel. My sister who gave up art 18 yrs ago found herself back again through one of the workshops… I would say Kathith is a journey, for anyone willing to dedicate themselves to the art forms. It is not just a door to pass through, but door to lose oneself in. All they ask is reverence and dedication.
Seema N - Learning these various forms of art through Kathith has added to my knowledge of regional art forms of India that I had not known. Learning from Kathith is helping me fine tune my drawing skills. Many tips and tools that are frequently shared by Kathith team is a great addition to my knowledge. Camaraderie among the group of art enthusiasts taking these courses is always a bonus!

Mona - I had the privilege of attending both the Kolam art workshop and a Digital Art workshop with Supraja, and they were both incredibly enriching. The Kolam workshop taught me about the rich cultural heritage behind the intricate patterns, while Supraja’s digital art session allowed me to explore how technology can enhance creative expression. Kathith’s mission to preserve and promote Indian art forms through both traditional and digital mediums is something I deeply admire. Founders Supraja and Deepti are not only highly skilled and knowledgeable but also incredibly passionate about their work. They create such a warm and welcoming environment, making every workshop an enjoyable and insightful experience. They are doing a fantastic job in hosting patron-friendly workshops that are both educational and inspiring. Their dedication to bridging traditional and modern art forms ensures that creativity is accessible to a wider audience. Kathith is truly doing a fantastic job bringing the beauty of Indian arts into the digital age
Shobha P - I came to know about kathith thru instagram, followed them for few weeks and when they offered a workshop, decided to enroll and give it a try. It was absolutely amazing experience. Incredible teachers who are very patient, passionate and very giving and eager to teach. Deepti and Supraja have been very helpful in facilitating the classes and keep us entertained and educated with interesting titbits and stories during the workshops. I am having a great time learning and trying many different types of art styles from India and beyond. Thank you for motivating me to get into art again! Earth without art is eh!!
Sudha R - I am so proud and happy to be part of Kathith You both bring in so many unique and forgotten Indian Art froms back to life with a renowned artist. They also teach us in the traditional way. Even though they are teaching us from across the world you both make it look simple and easy zoom classes and with recordings and timely lake photos for us to complete after class. I personally have learned so many art forms that I wouldn’t have tried if not of Kathith. For me this is a from of meditation and calming and being in my space in-spite of my busy life The online zoom workshops is the great part of it too. Thank you Kathith once again and big thanks to Deepti and Supraja proud to be part of it.

Mina C - Katith opened up the world of Indian Heritage to me. It has created a new affinity towards the Indian Folk Art especially by finding the Legacy Artists and supporting them, its Art Appreciation with a purpose. As an Art Ambassador for KalaCircle at JCSC it has helped me to take this quick heritage arts foundation to implement it into Jain Art. Although I have studied Art in India 50 years ago, I never had this opportunity and I give credit to Katith for giving me this second chance in Life. Supraja and Deepti are so dedicated and have raised the bar so high that they inspire you to utilize it in everyday life and bring joy in virtual community learning.
Parameshwari - I have attended few workshops in the last year or so with kathith. Each workshop made a significant difference in the way I see that art and also ,it added more to my self confidence to try and come up with my own version of the art ..yes ,a strong no to plagiarism is the highlight of doing a course in kathith. A big kudos to the people who are tirelessly working behind this and I am recommending this to anyone who want to get a knowledge about the myriad art forms in India and try their hands into the ones that interests them . You will never be disappointed
Bindu N - Kathith provides a unique opportunity to connect with some of the best artists from India. Founded by Supraja and Deepti, Kathith works tirelessly to bring seasoned, experienced artists who guide us through the intricacies of various traditional art forms such as Madhubani, Kerala Mural, Mysore Paintings, Cheriyal, and Pattachitra, among others. In addition to workshops that consist of a few sessions over a couple of weekends, Kathith also offers more comprehensive curriculum courses, some lasting up to a year. These longer courses are thoughtfully structured, starting with the basics and gradually advancing to more complex techniques. The step-by-step approach helped me build a strong foundation and gain confidence in my artwork. One of the most profound changes this experience brought about was a deeper connection to my cultural roots. The online format also enabled me to interact with fellow participants from around the world, allowing me to see different interpretations of the same techniques and learn from diverse perspectives. The sense of community fostered within these workshops and curriculum courses has given me a newfound feeling of belonging to a larger, shared creative network.
