Shashank Bharadwaj M.R. - Guru
Shashank Bharadwaj M.R. is a celebrated Mysuru artist known for his refined mastery of traditional Mysore painting, embossing techniques, and heritage art restoration. Coming from a family rooted in classical music, Shashank began his artistic journey as a Carnatic vocalist and mandolin player before shifting his focus to the visual arts. Since 2011, he has dedicated himself to preserving and advancing India’s classical art traditions, restoring iconic works by artists like Ramanarasaiah and Keshavayya, and creating original pieces marked by precision, grace, and spiritual depth. His contributions have earned him accolades such as Ovia Chemmal and Kala Tapasvi, with his work recognized in India and internationally. Based in Bengaluru, Shashank balances his professional life as a software engineer with his passion for teaching and mentoring. He regularly conducts art workshops, guides young learners, and serves as a resource person at the Advaitha Research Centre in Sringeri. Deeply committed to the cultural arts, he is also an authorized artist with the Government of India’s Handicrafts Commission
