About the Session
In this hands-on workshop, students will learn to draw a beautiful Ganesha composition entirely from scratch using pencil. The session will guide participants through building the basic form, refining proportions, outlining the artwork in black, and adding intricate details to bring the drawing to life. By the end of the workshop, each student will have completed a finished Ganesha artwork while gaining confidence in foundational drawing, line work, and decorative detailing techniques.. Step-by-Step Guided Drawing
Learn to create a complete Ganesha artwork from scratch, starting with a pencil sketch and progressing through each stage with clear guidance.
Line Art & Detailing Techniques
Practice outlining with black ink and adding intricate decorative details to create a polished, traditional-style artwork.
Build Core Artistic Skills
Develop confidence in sketching, proportions, composition, precision, and fine line work while completing a finished piece to take home.

Ashish Das
Ashish Das is a prodigious artist and a trained practitioner of Pattachitra. He experiments extensively to add contemporary flavor to Pattachitra in order to meet the modern tastes yet keeping the traditional essence intact. He was the first to pay tribute to the covid warriors by way of traditional visual arts, and his painting was used by the BBC in their news article. He is a state awardee and the only folk artist whose painting is in the prestigious Rashtrapati Bhawan (residence of the President of India). He has many large-scale murals to his credit, including a massive 15000sqft wall mural project in Bangalore.
